Our proposal for the celebration of Singapore's founding generation was conceived as a series of linked pavilions along the river, immersed in a lush and organic landscape.
We strive to define an architectural language that could represent the modesty, integrity and ingenuity of a brave group of women and men that against all odds was able to pave the way for what the city state has become.
A series of floating roofs is supported by a multitude of columns, as a metaphor of the contribution of the individual within a collective effort to reach a greater good.
The complex is a public space where collective memory and the individual projection of desires to a yet-to-be future meet, exploring the very meaning of civic values and participation.
