
Ermanno Cirillo, MSIA, RIBA

Ermanno is an Italian Architect and co-founder of SEED. He has worked in Milan, New York and Singapore, where he has gained a vast experience in projects of all scales and typologies across the South-East Asia region. Holding a double degree in architecture & engineering and having worked in renown architectural firms as well as developer/contractor companies, he has earned a deep knowledge and understanding of the building industry. His expertise spans from visionary design conceptualization to systematic detailing, execution, and project delivery.
After his major at the University of Pavia, one of Europe’s oldest, Ermanno obtained a master’s in advanced architectural design at E.T.S.A.M. in Spain. As a recipient of the prestigious Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, he moved to Singapore where he completed a Master in Sustainability at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Motivated by his passion for academic research, he has taught at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the Department of Architecture at NUS. He has been a guest lecturer at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok (Thailand) and the BMS College of Architecture in Bangalore (India).
Some of his recent works include Solaris @ Tai Seng, a large-scale multi-use sustainable development winner of the 2020 Asia Property Award, Samwoh Hub, the first ever energy-positive industrial building in Singapore, Chong Pang City, a civic centre complex designed to achieve super-low energy label, the United Group Headquarters in Dhaka and several high-end bespoke private residential projects across the region.
Ermanno is a licensed Architect in Singapore and a qualified Civil & Environmental Engineer registered with the Milan Order of Engineers in Italy. He is also a Corporate Member of the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and a Chartered Member of the RIBA.
